Leaders, staff, volunteers and young people from across Scotland came together at YMCA Tayside in Perth for YMCA Scotland’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The meeting coincided with the launch of YMCA Scotland’s Annual Report 2025, celebrating a landmark year that marked the 180th anniversary of the YMCA movement. The report highlights significant achievements across the four pillars of Vision 2030, showcasing how local YMCAs continue to drive change at community, national and global levels.  Our four pillars of Vision 2030 are;

• Just World
• Sustainable Planet
• Meaningful Work
• Community Wellbeing

Highlights of the Report

• £1.5 million secured for the new Climate Action Partnership, empowering young leaders to drive sustainability initiatives across Scotland;
• YMCA Tayside’s new Y Centre officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal, creating innovative spaces for young people (and for our AGM!)
• Youth voices from The Voice committee shaping national advocacy on climate justice and wellbeing; and
• International engagement through the World YMCA Vision 2030 Accelerator Summit in Kenya, where two Scottish young people graduated as World YMCA Change Agents.

The new awards presented at our AGM were set up by the Board to recognise the contribution of previous Office Bearers, Presidents, Vice Presidents and Honorary Life Members who have served for 6 plus years.

As the movement looks to the year ahead, YMCA Scotland remains focused on strengthening governance, expanding its digital and climate action work, and ensuring young people continue to shape the organisation’s future.
