BROUGHTY UNITED SUCCESS SEASON

Broughty United are an amateur football team who have been part of Broughty Ferry YMCA since 1953. 

Season 2021-22 has been Broughty United’s most successful season in their 70 year history.

This season 2 teams represented Broughty United  in the Midands Amateur football leagues.

1st team played in the Midlands Premier Division.

2nd team played in the Midlands Alliance Division 1.

North of Tay Cup – Runners Up

Winning the treble is unprecedented in the history of Broughty United.

Also in the league there was a record breaking win over Merpro by 18 goals to 4, where Nick mann scored 9 goals breaking the record of 8 goals held by Peter Lorimer (Leeds United and Scotland) and Ross Kenny.

Midlands Alliance Division 1 – Runners Up

Lunan Trophy – Winners

This meant that the 2nd team has now won the Lunan Trophy on the last 4 occasions. The trophy was not played for in season 2020/21.
