COVID-19 Response

YMCA Glenrothes has been operational throughout COVID-19, caring for young people in homeless residential accommodation. We pay tribute to the strength of young people, our supporters, volunteers and staff for pulling together in what has been a really challenging time. Thank you for everyone who has donated PPE, food and much more.

The Y community centre is now open to select groups. To date, everyone has been really respectful of, and compliant with the very stringent Covid-19 guidelines for the building.

We are really pleased to provide learning and leisure opportunities in these times of changing public health.

If a group would like to use the YMCA and can evidence it will comply fully with COVID-19 regulations, please do not hesitate to contact the Community Centre office in North Street by telephoning (01592) 612674 between the hours of 10 and 12noon, Monday to Friday. Thank you.

Tom’s Y Journey

I became homeless after splitting up with my girlfriend because my mental health was deteriorating. Having been in care, I had no idea what to do next. Thankfully, my social worker helped me get a place in YMCA Glenrothes’ supported accommodation.
