Emily has been a part of Kilmarnock YMCA since she was about 6 years old. She has held many roles here and her current focus is on youth work activities or our community café.

I sits on the board of trustees and has enjoyed her years spent here developing her skills both personally and professionally.

If you can't find Emily in the building, you can find her spending time with her nephew!

James joined Kilmarnock YMCA in May 2025 after seeing an advertisement looking for new trustees. As a teenager, James was made homeless but was taken in and looked after by another YMCA organisation. James said that when he saw the advert, he jumped at the opportunity to give back to an organisation that gave so much to him.

James is a technology consultant at St. James's Place, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce.

Outside of Kilmarnock YMCA, James enjoys hiking, nature, and spending time with his two daughters (and furry son).
