YMCA Scotland was proud to welcome a delegation from YMCA São Paulo, Brazil, as part of an international visit focused on climate action and community engagement. The visit underscored the global commitment within the YMCA movement to building a more Sustainable Planet.

The Brazilian delegation shared insights into their climate initiatives across Brazil, including innovative projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints, empowering young climate leaders, and promoting environmental education in urban and rural communities.

As part of their visit, the delegation toured YMCA Glenrothes and YMCA Kirkcaldy to learn more about local sustainability efforts. Key stops included the YMCA Glenrothes’ community garden project and YMCA Kirkcaldy’s Gallatown Hub which has outdoor play space, bike pump track, community cafe and meeting rooms.
