YMCA Childcare includes breakfast clubs, holidays clubs, after-school care, outdoor play & specialised care for additional support needs.

After School Clubs

Our after school clubs promote creative learning, social skills and a healthy lifestyle through play activities.

Children are referred to our groups by partners such as social work and schools. Some of our after school clubs are specifically designed for children with additional support needs.

Playscheme

The Playscheme programme provides play activities for primary school children during the Easter, Summer and October Holidays.

Along with a fun programme, the children are provided with a free hot meal. This is to address the lack of food provision during the school holidays.

YMCAs also provide early intervention support to vulnerable families including family respite support.

Care Inspectorate reports confirm that over 90% of YMCA Childcare standards are good to excellent
